Venezuela: at least three dead as anti-government protests continue

At least three people were reportedly killed in Venezuela on Monday, as anti-government protests continued.

They take the death toll to more than two dozen in a month of unrest that’s seen politically motivated shootings and daily unrest.

In the capital Caracas, police used tear gas on some of the demonstrators.

There were also mass sit-ins on Monday. Those taking part in the action want early elections, the release of jailed activists and autonomy for the opposition-led congress.
